Relocating to Phoenix for the semiconductor corridor
This guide answers the questions every TSMC and semiconductor professional asks before a move: where the fab campus actually is, which communities give you a short commute and a great life, and how to buy a home from out of state without missing a beat. It draws on eighteen years of experience across Greater Phoenix, and semiconductor and TSMC relocation is the focus I bring to that experience today.
Where the TSMC campus sits, and what that means for your commute
The TSMC Arizona fab campus is in far North Phoenix, in the Sonoran Oasis Science and Technology Park, near 43rd Avenue and Dove Valley Road just west of I-17 and north of Loop 303.
That single fact shapes the whole search: the neighborhoods closest to work are the new master plans of North Phoenix, while Scottsdale and Paradise Valley trade a longer drive for resort lifestyle.

The communities near the corridor
Four areas dominate the relocation search. Each offers a different balance of commute, price, and lifestyle, and all are strong, established markets.
Norterra & Union Park
The campus-adjacent choice: roughly 5 to 10 minutes from the fab, newer homes, walkable retail at The Shops at Norterra, and the K-8 Union Park School inside the community. Deer Valley Unified schools, including Barry Goldwater and Sandra Day O'Connor high schools.
Anthem
A complete master plan at the base of Daisy Mountain: two 18-hole golf courses, parks, pools, and about 13 miles of trails, with a 10 to 15 minute commute that runs mostly against the heaviest traffic. Boulder Creek High School anchors the Deer Valley feeder pattern.
Vistancia, Peoria
A 7,100-acre resort community between the Twin Buttes and White Peak mountains: gated luxury at Blackstone, family villages, and the 55-plus Trilogy. Two golf clubs and Peoria Unified schools, with a slightly longer drive to the plant.
Deer Valley corridor
Established North Phoenix neighborhoods with larger, often older lots, mature landscaping, and the same quick freeway access. A strong value option for buyers who want more land without leaving the corridor.
Buying from a distance, on your timeline
You can complete nearly the entire Phoenix home purchase before you ever arrive. With pre-approval, live video showings, remote inspections, and electronic signing with remote notarization, most relocation buyers close from their current city or country.
A helpful working timeline
Start about 90 days before your move date: get pre-approved, define your commute tolerance, shortlist three or four communities, tour virtually, then fly out for a focused visit before you write your offer.
Virtual house hunting
Live video walkthroughs of shortlisted homes, neighborhood tours, and school and commute reviews, so your shortlist is real before you fly.
Remote inspections
A qualified inspector attends on your behalf while you join by video, and we review the report together line by line.
Electronic signing
Arizona permits remote online notarization for many documents, so you can sign from your home state or country.
New construction
Register your agent before your first builder visit so the builder compensates your representation and you keep a strong advocate.
